Loutulim: The Lions Club of Loutulim felicitated renowned theatre artist Rupesh Jogle and young filmmaker Mario Pimenta during the official visit of District Governor PMJF Lion Jai Amol Naik.

President Lion Allen Araujo welcomed the dignitaries and highlighted the club’s community work. Secretary Lion Alwyn Mascarennas detailed their activities since July, including sapling distribution, educational funding, and charitable donations.

Two local talents were honoured for their contributions. Rupesh Jogle, an accomplished actor and director in Goan theatre, was recognized for his artistic excellence. In his acceptance, he shared his journey in theatre and short films, particularly his roles portraying Jesus Christ.

Mario Pimenta, a 21-year-old rising filmmaker known for his competition entries, was also felicitated. He humbly credited his mother, sister, and supporters for his success, urging youth to take action to achieve their dreams without doubt.

District Governor PMJF Lion Jai Amol Naik congratulated the awardees and encouraged community members to join the Lions movement. He presented letters from the International President, along with medals and badges, to veteran club members, praising Loutulim as one of the best clubs internationally.

Treasurer MGF Lion Joaquim Monteiro proposed the vote of thanks. The Lions Club of Loutulim, nearing 50 years of service, continues to honour local talent while serving the community.
