Fancy-dress, Drawing Competitions & Flag Hoisting Mark Independence Day Festivities in Davorlim

Navelim, Goa – As part of the Independence Day celebrations, Samraat Club Navelim organized a series of patriotic events under the ‘Country First Week’ initiative. The club conducted a fancy-dress competition at K. B. Hedgewar Primary School, Davorlim, followed by a drawing competition and patriotic performances at Government High School, Davorlim.

The celebrations culminated with a flag-hoisting ceremony led by Headmistress Gauthami Bhagat, attended by teachers, students, and club members. Samraat Club President Aditya Bidre, Secretary Swamini Parbhu Shirodkar, Treasurer Kamlesh Kamat, and members Pallavi Naik, Garish Jabshetti, and Sudesh Nippanikar were present to honor the occasion.

As a special tribute, the club felicitated Naik (Retired) Liladhar A. Mhatre with the ‘Country First Week’ award in recognition of his 18 years of dedicated service in the Indian Army. Prizes were distributed to competition winners, and sweets were shared among students, spreading joy and patriotic fervor.
The event highlighted the club’s commitment to fostering national pride and community spirit among the youth.
