Navelim, August 10 – In a heartwarming celebration of Rakshabandhan, the Samraat Club Navelim, local schools, social organizations, and institutions across South Goa, came together to honor the brave jawans at the Military Camp in Navelim.

Students from Mahalasa Narayani High School (Verna), schools from Navelim, Margao, and other parts of South Goa, members of Lions Club, Rotary Club, and various social groups, participated in the event. They tied sacred rakhis on the wrists of the soldiers as a token of gratitude for their unwavering service and sacrifices for the nation.

The soldiers, deeply moved by the gesture, expressed their appreciation, calling it a meaningful recognition of their duty. The ceremony, simple yet emotional, concluded with group photographs and the distribution of sweets, further strengthening the bond between civilians and armed forces personnel.

The event highlighted Goa’s deep respect and admiration for India’s military protectors, showcasing the spirit of unity and patriotism. Such initiatives reinforce the sacred connection between the armed forces and the people they safeguard.
