
Navelim – The Samraat Club Navelim marked the 80th Independence Day with a heartfelt tribute to Retired Major Ganpat Sawant, felicitating the veteran ex-serviceman at his residence in a touching ceremony that celebrated his years of dedicated service to the nation.
Club members actively participated in the flag hoisting ceremony at Government Primary and Higher Secondary School, Davorlim, where students sang patriotic songs with great enthusiasm, filling the air with national pride. Prizes were distributed to winners of various competitions organized by the club for primary school students, fostering a spirit of healthy competition and creativity among the young minds.
The event witnessed the presence of distinguished members including Apsar Shaikh (Past Board Director, Samrat Club State 1), Aditya Bidre (Past President), Dinesh Mahale (President), Swamini P Shirodkar (Secretary), Deepali Naik (Treasurer), Kamlesh Kamat (Vice President), and active members Sudhir Golbhavi, Kalpana Terani, Pallavi Naik, and Nita Patil, all of whom contributed to making the occasion memorable.
