Margao – : The Goa Pencak Silat Association proudly celebrates a landmark moment in the state’s sporting history at the 14th National Pencak Silat Championship 2026, held from June 25 to 28 at Sarveshwar Mahadev Trust Hall, Topvan, Nashik, Maharashtra.
For the first time, Goa secured multiple medals at the national championship, with Adashya Samal clinching the Silver Medal and Dripthi Jha bringing home the Bronze Medal. Their outstanding performances, marked by exceptional technique, resilience, and sportsmanship, have brought immense pride to the state and set a new benchmark for Goan martial artists.
The Goa contingent was led by Shri Anthony Cedly Braganza, President and Head Coach of the Goa Pencak Silat Association, whose vision and relentless efforts in promoting the sport have been instrumental in the team’s success. He was ably supported by Madhu Chauhan, who served as Team Manager, ensuring seamless coordination and athlete welfare throughout the competition.
The championship witnessed fierce competition, with top martial artists from across India vying for glory. Goa’s medal winners stood out with their disciplined execution and fighting spirit, earning accolades from officials and spectators alike.
