Cavelossim Sarpanch Dixon Vaz dedicated a newly constructed road to the residents of Passos ward, who endured hardships for decades without road access since Goa’s liberation. The 350-meter stretch, completed with the support of Panch members and the panchayat secretary, promises a major relief, especially during monsoons. “It’s a dream come true,” said Vaz, adding that he worked tirelessly for two years to make it a reality. Local resident Piedade Passanha, 85, recalled trudging through waterlogged fields in his youth, thanking the panchayat for finally connecting the community.
