In a heartwarming and unique celebration of Raksha Bandhan, four students from PM SHRI Government High School, Morpirla—Daksh Velip, Priyanshu Velip, Ranjisha Gaonkar, and Ridhi Velip—had the honour of visiting Rashtrapati Bhavan in New Delhi. Accompanied by their Headmistress, Maria Murena Miranda, a National Awardee, the students took part in the Raksha Bandhan festivities hosted at the official residence of the President of India.

This special occasion highlighted the beautiful bond between siblings and the nation. The students, coming from the tribal village of Morpirla in Goa, were filled with excitement and pride as they participated in the cultural celebration at such a prestigious venue.

Headmistress Maria Murena Miranda, who had previously attended the President’s “At Home” reception on Independence Day, expressed her joy at witnessing her students experience such a significant national event. “It is a golden opportunity for our students to witness the cultural importance of Raksha Bandhan at Rashtrapati Bhavan,” she said.

The students extended heartfelt thanks to the Hon’ble President of India, Smt. Droupadi Murmu, and the Ministry of Education, Government of India, for the invitation and the unforgettable experience.

The visit was a proud and memorable moment for the students and the school, symbolizing inclusion, culture, and national unity.
