MARGAO: A job fair organized by Congress leader Chirag Datta Naik under the Chirag Datta Naik Initiative in collaboration with 91HR – India’s HR drew an overwhelming response, with over 350 applicants participating in the event held at B.P.S. Hall, Margao, on Saturday.
Event Highlights
The day-long job drive, conducted from 9 AM to 5 PM, provided opportunities across multiple sectors, including:
✔ Hospitality & Retail
✔ IT & Software (34.1% applicants)
✔ HR & Administration (28.9%)
✔ Manufacturing & Operations (14%)
✔ Customer Service & More
Job seekers, particularly freshers and young professionals, benefited from on-the-spot interviews, career guidance, and networking opportunities.

Chirag Naik’s Vision for Youth Employment
Addressing the gathering, Naik expressed gratitude for the massive turnout but also raised concerns about Goa’s employment scenario.
“The overwhelming response indicates a serious gap between job seekers and employers. While we are happy to facilitate opportunities, the high demand for jobs also reflects systemic challenges in the state’s employment ecosystem,” he said.
Naik assured continuity in such initiatives, stating that his team would follow up with applicants and aim to secure placements for many within 15–25 days. He also announced plans to launch a dedicated job helpline soon.
Encouraging Youth to Follow Their Passion
Naik urged young job seekers to align their careers with their education, skills, and passions rather than settling for any available opportunity.
“Youth must pursue careers that match their potential. We will continue working to bridge the gap between talent and employment,” he added.
