Margao : Dhadsakal emerged as champions of the UK11 Leather Ball Cricket Tournament 2026 after a commanding 7-wicket victory over Sunrisers Margao in the final played at SAG Fatorda, Margao.
The final saw Sunrisers Margao being bundled out for 86 runs in 18.4 overs. Vikas Dessai top-scored with 22 runs, but the Dhadsakal bowlers dominated proceedings. Tanish Kadekar and Siddhesh Pandit were the pick of the bowlers, claiming three wickets each to dismantle the opposition batting line-up.
In reply, Dhadsakal chased down the modest target with remarkable ease, reaching 90 for 3 in just 8.5 overs. Samarth Gawas anchored the chase with a match-winning unbeaten knock of 61 runs, earning him the Player of the Final award.

The prize distribution ceremony was attended by Chief Guest Zameer Ahmed, President of the All Goa Tennis Cricket Association. Guests of Honour included Sumiran Amonkar, former Goa Ranji player, and Aditya Bidre, Founder and Editor-in-Chief of SAL TV News & Entertainment channel.
Individual excellence was recognized with special awards. Ambar Naik of Dhadsakal was adjudged Player of the Tournament for his outstanding all-round contributions throughout the competition. Vikas Dessai of Margao Strikers received the Best Batsman award, while Varad Dabolkar of Sunrisers Margao was named Best Bowler. Rajat Shet of Dhadsakal was honored as the Best Fielder.
The tournament, which witnessed participation from 16 teams, was organized under the leadership of UK11 President Ubedulla Khan, Vice President Imran Patel, General Secretary Akash Naik, Treasurer Pankaj Bagkar, Joint Treasurer Tausif Shaikh, and General Secretary Dattapratik Desai. The event was supported by founder members Valab Borkar, Denzil Mascarenas, Kutbudin Khan, Ali Malakatti, and Harun Shaikh.

The UK11 Leather Ball Cricket Tournament 2026 concluded successfully, providing a competitive platform for emerging cricketing talent in the region.
