The Department of Tourism, Government of Goa, is set to host the much-anticipated ‘Spirit of Goa Festival 2026’ from April 24 to 26 at the SAG Ground in Colva. The three-day event, commencing at 6 pm daily, promises an immersive experience rooted in the state’s authentic cultural identity, bringing together traditional Goan cuisine, local spirits, music, and craftsmanship.
A key highlight of the festival is the dedicated focus on Goa’s heritage drink, feni. Visitors can engage directly with distillers to learn about time-honored distillation practices, explore diverse food stalls, and witness live cooking demonstrations. The event will also feature dedicated spaces for artisans and local entrepreneurs, showcasing handicrafts, textiles, and homegrown products to support small businesses.

The festival will commence with a traditional lamp dance performance by the Kanta Gawde troupe. An exciting musical lineup follows: Day 1 features Junktion, Shine On Band, and Danceophilia; Day 2 showcases 24K India, Crimson, and Big City India; and Day 3 brings performances by Lynx, Pure Magic, and Truly Yours. Interactive elements such as mixology sessions, workshops, and cultural demonstrations will further enhance the experience.
Speaking about the festival, Minister for Tourism, Rohan A. Khaunte, said, “The Spirit of Goa Festival highlights aspects beyond conventional tourism, including our food traditions, indigenous beverages, and craftsmanship. Through such initiatives, we aim to strengthen community participation while encouraging visitors to experience Goa more meaningfully.”
