An insightful workshop on compering and anchoring was successfully conducted on March 22 at the Resource Room, St. Thomas High School, Cansaulim. Organized by the DKA (Dalgado Konknni Akademi), the session witnessed enthusiastic participation from students, DKA members, and aspiring anchors eager to refine their communication and presentation skills.
The workshop featured Agnelo Borim, a distinguished speaker, anchor, writer, and director, as the resource person. His expertise guided participants through essential aspects of professional anchoring, including voice modulation, stage presence, confidence-building, and script writing. Emphasis was placed on the importance of clear communication, strong public speaking abilities, and confident delivery—key pillars of effective compering.

The session combined theoretical insights with practical application. Participants engaged in mock anchoring exercises, gaining valuable hands-on experience under the expert’s guidance. The interactive format allowed attendees to receive personalized feedback, making the learning process both engaging and impactful.
The welcome address was delivered by DKA Vice-president, Anthony San Fernandes. Fr. Myron Jeson Barreto, President of DKA, expressed optimism that such initiatives would continue to nurture young talent and foster effective communication among the youth and people of Goa. The workshop concluded on a patriotic note with the singing of the National Anthem. Attendees shared overwhelmingly positive feedback, noting a significant boost in their confidence and a clearer understanding of professional anchoring techniques.
